Planning a Trip? Here's When to Book Your Injectables

Nothing says vacation mode quite like feeling confident in your skin.

Whether you're heading off on a beach vacation, a wedding, a girls' trip or just getting away for a long weekend, timing your injectable appointments can make all the difference.

Our biggest piece of advice?

Plan to have your injectables done at least 3–4 weeks before you leave.

Here's why.

Give your results time to settle

Most injectables don't show their final result immediately.

Neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport typically take up to two weeks to fully kick in, while dermal filler can take a little time for swelling to settle and the product to integrate into the tissue.

Even if everything goes perfectly (which we always hope it does!), giving yourself a few extra weeks means you'll be enjoying your final results by the time you're packing your bags.

Leave room for a touch-up

Sometimes a small adjustment is needed.

With neuromodulators especially, we occasionally recommend a touch-up appointment around two weeks after treatment to fine-tune your results if necessary.

If your trip is only a few days away, there isn't much flexibility.

Booking your treatment 3–4 weeks in advance gives you time for any follow-up appointments before you leave.

Swelling and bruising happen

Everyone heals differently.

Some people walk out with barely a mark, while others bruise or swell more easily. There's no perfect way to predict it.

Planning ahead means you're not spending the first few days of your vacation waiting for a bruise to fade or trying to cover swelling in all of your vacation photos.

Don't forget your skin treatments

If you're planning facials, microneedling, chemical peels or laser treatments before your trip, timing matters there too.

Depending on the treatment, your provider may recommend allowing enough time for your skin to heal before prolonged sun exposure or travel.

If you're unsure what to schedule first, we'll help you map it out.

Tell us about your travel plans

One of the easiest ways we can help you get the best results is simply knowing when you're leaving.

If you mention your vacation, wedding or event during your consultation, we can recommend a treatment timeline that works with your schedule—not against it.

The sweet spot? 3–4 weeks.

If we had to choose one recommendation, it would be this:

Book your injectables at least 3–4 weeks before your trip.

It gives your results time to settle, allows room for a touch-up if needed and helps reduce the stress of last-minute appointments before you're off to enjoy your vacation.

Your future vacation self will thank you.
