  • most people see initial results within 4-10 days, however the full effect will not be seen until 14 days. we recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before booking a touch-up if needed.

  • there are a few things you can do. first, we suggest you avoid taking any blood thinners (such as Ibuprofen, aspirin, omega 3, fish oil) for 5 days prior to your appointment. alcohol is also blood thinner, so if you are worried about bruising, try to refrain from consuming three days prior to your treatment. some natural remedies are shown to help reduce bruising, like arnica and bromelain, which you can find at most health food stores. take these for 2 days before and after treatment.

  • neuromodulators (botox/dysport) generally last three to four months, whereas dermal fillers can last four to eighteen months. however, this varies from person to person and depends on the area that is injected.

  • unfortunately, you will have to wait until after your pregnancy to get any injections done.

    follow up

your botox will start to take effect in 2-3 days and full results will be seen in 2 weeks.

if there is any asymmetry or “spocking” at day 14, book a follow up appointment for a touch up.

extensions

  • how to care for your extensions

    • at night, wear braids or low ponytails with soft scrunchies. this will secure the hair in place and lower friction and movement of the weave.

    • do not sleep with wet hair. wet hair is more vulnerable to damage as the elasticity is greater when wet. dry hair is stronger and will keep your hair from breakage. wash hair in a downwards direction, with the direction of the hair cuticle.

    the right products are key

    • you have made an investment in high quality hair that deserves to be maintained with quality products. you wouldn’t buy a bently and put cheap oil in it, am i right?!

    • use shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate free and always use a heat protector when styling. your extensions are going to love hydrating products.

    • professional products are recommended to ensure the best everyday look and longevity for your hair. ask your stylist for personalized recommendations.

    use the right tools

    • a good brush, blow dryer and hot tool.

    • professional quality tools have advanced technology that will ensure health and longevity of your own hair as well as your extension hair.

    avoid

    • salt water. if you plan on being in a surf competition or you are an avid scuba diver, extensions might not be for you.

    • if you are going on vacation and the ocean calls you and you MUST answer it’s call, make sure your hair is in braids and try to wash and condition your hair immediately after.

    • use caution when using toning shampoo. extensions will oftentimes have a different porosity than your natural hair and the toning effect can be different from your extensions to your natural hair. it is best to book a toning service with your stylist to get the best result.
